As part of my inaugural talk a developed the idea of organic agriculture as almost archetypical polycentric “industry” – at least the way it started. Researching this will offer ample opportunities in the future. It raised all Kinds of theoretical and empirical questions. One Needs to address how polycentric Arrangements develop over time – another how they relate to monocentric Systems…. we hope to develop this further.
